I know it seems silly to talk about the holidays in the middle of the Summer... Call me crazy. About this time last year, our data predicted that consumers would shop in-store to celebrate the joy of the holidays. EVERYONE thought I was crazy back then - but it happened!
Well, guess what? While the headlines are doom and gloom with recent earnings calls, our data shows that there is "Joy is in the Air" again for this year's holiday season. Despite concerns of inflation and economic pressures, consumers ARE EXCITED AND HAPPY about the holidays.
Time and time again, measuring joy has become a "leading indicator" of sales and traffic. We can't use our current circumstances as excuses to NOT deliver joy this holiday season.
Time will tell to see how it will unfold, but as I have said many times, we all need a little joy in our lives and the holidays are the perfect time for that. Here's an early sneak peek of my 2022 holiday outlook!
